Firstly decide what it is you're looking to achieve i.e.:-

1. What type of business are you looking to do on the net e.g. Affiliate Marketing to just promote other's products, or are you wanting to have down line, aka MLM, or do you wish to create your own product and promote that. Or are you looking for that Easy way out that doesn't really exist e.g. Surveys online. Applied to more than a couple of hundred, since February/ March I've made, maybe $20, It took hours to get registered to all of these sites and 90% are only ones that refer you to other sites that you've already signed up to. Hey don't get me wrong if it works for you great but did NOT work for me.
2. Do you want a little extra cash for to supplement household income?
3. Do you want lots of cash to give up your day job?
4. What are you prepared to do to get to this level
5. How much time are you willing to invest?

As it is known, nothing comes easy, so if you're looking to start an online business you need to seriously look at these factors.

There are a lot of promoters out there saying this is easy even a total newbie can do this, and that, they can.

What they also tell you is that you need to put in a few hours to get it up and running and then a couple of hours a week to maintain your income. The thing is, we're all looking at that initial "easy money" phrase - and don't fathom what really is involved. As for me, yes, I'm the prime example of this, when I first started searching for that stay at home business in the beginning, only to find, I was rudely mistaken.

Once you've established all the above factors, it is not till then, time to start working on building your own online business.
